Prof. Dr. Hasan Özgür ÖZDEMİR was born in 1970 in Antalya/Gazipaşa. Following his pre-undergraduate studies, he began his medical education (in English) at Hacettepe University and successfully completed it in 1995, earning the title of MD. He completed his specialization at Akdeniz University and became a Brain and Nerve Surgery Specialist in 2002.

After completing his specialist training, he worked at Başkent University's Department of Brain and Nerve Surgery from 2003 to 2017. He received a certificate of competency from the Turkish Neurosurgical Association board exam in 2008 and became an Associate Professor in 2012. Dr. Hasan Özgür Özdemir, who is fluent in English, received the title of Associate Professor in 2012. In 2018, he was appointed Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at İstinye University.

He is married to Dr. Hülya Özdemir and has two daughters.
